Frequently asked questions
How do I know whether my Mac uses Apple silicon or Intel?
Open About This Mac and inspect the Chip or Processor field. Choose Apple silicon for Apple M1, M2, M3, or newer M-series chips; choose Intel when Intel is shown.
Does the desktop app update automatically?
It checks once after every launch and can also be checked manually. New versions require separate confirmation for download and for replacement installation and restart.
How are installers verified?
Desktop verifies the downloaded file against the SHA-256 value in the release manifest. The download page also displays each installer's checksum.
Can I use Windows 10?
The current release target is 64-bit Windows 11. Older systems may not install or run and are outside the supported scope.
